Children's Ministry Leader: Ashley Bishop

Ashley grew up in the mountains of North Carolina, but moved to Easley in 2013.  She grew up going to church with her grandparents at Rocky Bottom Baptist Church.  She was saved in 1992 at a church revival.  Ashley really didn't start her spiritual growth in Christ until she was an adult. She rededicated her life to the Lord in 2009 on Easter Sunday, and was baptized that summer.  Ashley started attending Smith Grove with her family after her daughter was invited to VBS in 2014. She just felt right at home when she attended Smith Grove for the first time. She and her husband Jeremy joined Smith Grove in February 2015.   She volunteered to be the children's director in September 2016.   Her passion is to draw children into a close relationship with Christ, and not hold back on their spiritual journey just because they are young. Ashley has been married since 2004. She and her husband have 2 children, Myles and Kyra. The children were both saved and baptized  at Smith Grove Baptist. Ashley is very thankful she can be a stay at home mom. She has homeschooled her daughter with a Christ centered curriculum since 2012, and teaches co-op classes to her homeschool group.
